Conroe & Porter/New Caney: Two of Houston’s Most Loved Communities in 2024

The Houston Association of Realtors (HAR) has released its inaugural "Most Loved Communities" report, highlighting the top 10 Houston-area neighborhoods that saw the largest increase in home sales in 2024. Among them, Conroe Northeast and Porter/New Caney West ranked in the top three, further proving what we’ve been saying all along—these communities are some of the hottest places to buy a home!

In fact, back in November 2024, I wrote about how Conroe and Porter/New Caney were among the top five hottest communities in the region (read that blog here). This latest HAR report only reaffirms the strong demand for housing in these areas.

Why Conroe & Porter/New Caney Are in High Demand

🔹 Porter/New Caney West saw an impressive 92.8% increase in home sales last year, making it one of the most sought-after areas for homebuyers. With new developments, growing infrastructure, and easy access to Highway 59 and the Grand Parkway, this area is booming with opportunity.

🔹 Conroe Northeast followed closely with a 55.2% jump in home sales. Conroe has long been one of Houston’s fastest-growing suburbs, offering a mix of lakeside living, top-rated schools, and affordable new construction homes.

Both of these communities have been thriving due to their affordable home prices and high volume of new construction. As HAR noted, seven of the top 10 fastest-growing neighborhoods had average home prices below the Houston metro’s $406,492 average, making them attractive options for buyers looking to maximize their budgets.
